Rollover Kills One Near Eagle Mountain Lake

FORT WORTH — A rollover crash near Eagle Mountain Lake killed one man early Tuesday morning, March 12, 2013.

According to police, a Ford pickup occupied by four men in their 20s was attempting to turn around in a cul-de-sac in the 8200 block of Western Lake Drive and went out of control, jumped the curb and rolled over down an embankment. The area is close to Lake Country Drive in far northwest Fort Worth.

A passenger was ejected in the 2:30 a.m. rollover and was pinned by the truck when it rolled over on top of him. The victim was Kelvin Chazarreta, 23, of Benbrook. No other injuries were reported.

The pickup truck driver was arrested and could face charges of intoxication manslaughter and driving while intoxicated.
